Award-winning producer and creator of SABC 2’s hit soapie 7de Laan, Danie Odendaal, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, in Langebaan, at the age of 77.

Odendaal died after a short illness.

According to The Citizen, Odendaal suffered a stroke in 2019 while living abroad in Pervillac, France.
