          Introduction

          Sri Vidyaranya Swami flourished in the fourteenth century A.D. He was the guru as well as the Prime Minister of Harihara I and Bukka, the founders of the Vijayanagara Kingdom.

          He is reputed to be the greatest among post-Sankara Advaitins.
